Argus^® 2501

High Performance Low Profile PCI FORTEZZA Solution

Overview

The Argus 2501 has replaced the Argus 2500.

The Argus® 2501 works with certified FORTEZZA® Crypto Cards and provides greater performance by using the PCI bus interface. Designed with a dual socket PC Card reader/writer, the Argus 2501 can support two Type I/II PC Cards or one Type III PC Card. In addition, the Argus 2501 provides support for memory (compact flash, static RAM) and I/O PC Cards (serial, parallel, fax/modem, NIC, and ATA devices) for flexibility. The appropriate FORTEZZA ready drivers are also available from and supported by Litronic in order to ensure full support for current and future FORTEZZA based applications.

The Argus® Series of PC Card reader/writers offers superior performance and complete system support at competitive prices. Supported by an extensive array of device drivers and cryptographic libraries, all Argus Readers offer a high degree of flexibility, ease of use, and ease of installation to various government programs, including the DoD's Defense Messaging System (DMS). Multiple platforms and bus architectures including PCI, USB, and SCSI, are supported by the Argus Series to provide scalable solutions.

The Argus Series works with all certified FORTEZZA® Crypto Cards. When used with FORTEZZA Crypto Cards, the Argus Series provides enhanced security for applications including access control, secure communications, and electronic signatures. For more demanding infrastructure applications, the Argus Series is available with the Multi-Access CI Library (MACI Library) to provide concurrent server support for multiple and multi-threaded applications accessing various cryptographic devices. With multi-tasking operating systems, several applications can run concurrently while using one or multiple FORTEZZA PC Cards.
